History of the Performan Group

The Performan Group has undergone massive growth since it was founded in 2003. Based on its strong partnerships, its highly qualified staff, its order book and its income figures, the Group by now has become a significant player in the market of quality HR services and management consulting.

The chronology of our company by years and milestones:

 

2003

The group is founded by two individuals who have both management consulting and client-side experience at senior level. The founders are still active in the company, each managing a division of the group, personally seeing to it that the quality commitment of the firm benefit their clients. The company was established using the name of PerforMAN Tanácsadó Kft. (PerforMAN Consulting Ltd.) and specialised in executive search and competency development at the time.

2004

As our quality services attract an increasing number of clients, our range of services grows as well. New, ever popular services, such as „competence-based search and selection trainings for managers” are introduced. This latter training attracts more than 300 managers and HR professionals from more than 30 companies, expanding their knowledge and honing their skills required in the sourcing and hiring of new colleagues.

2005

The group moves to new offices and expands headcount. One of our first PA’s becomes senior consultant with our executive search division. We successfully complete our 50th search.

2006 - 2007

Our first structured customer relationship management system is launched parallel to further staff expansion and ballooning of references.

Our clients probably best remember us for our the creative search solutions and thestimulating special events of this period. These latter include a historical pastry tasting event in the Buda Castle, held at a very authentic location, the Ruszwurm Confectionery. Because of very high attendance, several participants sit in the lap of others as the 93-year-old daugther of Mr Sipos (the former owner of the confectionery) reads out time-honoured recipes from yellowing sheets of paper. Naturally, meanwhile, everybody is busily engaged in cake-tasting activity.


Besides a series of all day family events, of particular note is the „Whiskey Academy”, where we sip the unique drinks of each region by the sound of a Scottish pipe. To our great surprise and delight, our female clients are also heavily represented.





2008

As our staff expands, we undertake to build a new office dedicated to management consulting. The feedback we get suggests that this office is one of the most beautiful and functionally modern management consulting offices established so far in Hungary.

 

 

 

 

This year, our mid-level search division splits off and our company undergoes a minor change in corporate image. Our PerforMAN Quality Executive Search division becomes an independent unit with its own fully dedicated team, and Talent Selection, our increasingly popular search brand for specialists is launched.


End of 2008- 2009

The global financial crisis hits the consulting market. Within weeks, some ongoing assignments are halted. Demand for consulting services falls off significantly. We needed a new strategy. We decide to expand our quality portfolio and create our new management development division, DevelopMEN Quality Consulting and Training.

 

In the very same year we start an EU-supported project in order to turn crisis years into development. Besides our executive search services, we also launch our extremely popular CXO Career Coaching service. With our support, dozens of senior management professionals become more successful job-seekers, and our input enables several top managers to find appropriate management positions during the worst of the crisis. Our Talent Selection division wins its first Outplacement assignment, during which we provide support and care to about 120 employees of a massive layoff .

2010

We start the development of our proprietary CRM and database system, which becomes a state-of-the-art solution both for our Clients and Candidates. Its online client gateway offers a novel and unique opportunity for our Clients to monitor and gain full transparency of our work in progress. Our Candidates may manage their own application through the online menu. Therefore, a high quality and unique candidate support solution thus sees the light of day.

2011

We launch our „Executive Newsletter”, which provides online news about our group and interesting articles by our consultants 2-3 times a year.

2012

We further increase our headcount and start an all-round corporate identity redesign project. This leads to the new and restructured group website you are just visiting and a number of background development projects with CRM and recruitment system upgrades to follow.
